Their wedding was filled with heartfelt moments, bursts of laughter, and a beautiful celebration of love. From the intimate ceremony centered around faith to a reception in the countryside of Southern Indiana, their day was perfect.

The day began at Saint James Catholic Church in Haubstadt Indiana, which couldn’t have been a more perfect place for Travis and Katie to exchange their vows. The church itself has a classic, timeless beauty with its tall stained glass windows and high ceilings. But what made the ceremony truly special was the blend of sacred moments and the couple’s easygoing, joyful energy.
From the moment Travis saw Katie walk down the aisle, you could feel the emotion in the room. It was one of those moments where you could practically hear everyone’s collective “Aww” as they exchanged glances. One of my favorite shots was right after the ceremony when they walked down the aisle as husband and wife. Travis and Katie were grinning from ear to ear, full of excitement, and Katie pulled Travis in for a big kiss, making everything feel even more magical. It’s one of those photos you look at and immediately feel the warmth of the moment.
After the ceremony, it was time to head to Shinnyville Hill, a venue tucked in the cornfields of Gibson County. Wow, what a reception it was! Set in a beautiful, rustic venue with open fields and a cozy vibe, it was the perfect location for a celebration. The whole day had such a modern, colorful feel, and the reception was no exception.
Vibrant pops of color filled the reception venue – think cheerful florals, bright table settings, and a fun, relaxed atmosphere. What I loved most was how simple yet striking everything felt. It was a perfect example of how you can keep things modern and stylish.
The night kicked off with toast which had everyone laughing and tearing up all at once. As a photographer, I love capturing these moments because I get to see the raw emotion that comes with being surrounded by loved ones. Everyone’s words felt personal, and you could really feel the bond between Travis and Katie and their loved ones.
Once the speeches wrapped up, it was time for the real party to begin. Some of my favorite photos from the reception were those candid moments. Travis and Katie twirling around the dance floor, laughing together in the middle of a song, and sharing those quiet moments in between. Those are the kinds of images that really capture the essence of a wedding. The love, the fun, and the way everything just falls into place when you’re surrounded by the people who mean the most.
