Today I photograph weddings and portraits across the Midwest and beyond, drawn to celebrations that feel intentional, personal, and timeless. My approach blends a documentary perspective with an editorial eye, focusing on genuine moments while creating images that will feel just as meaningful decades from now.
When I’m not photographing weddings, life revolves around my favorite people - my husband Ian, a teacher and incredible cook, and our son Patton, who inspired the name behind this business.
Together we spend our time traveling whenever we can, discovering new places, and slowing down at home in Southern Indiana between adventures.

Photography has always been the way I see the world.
Long before I began documenting weddings, I was drawn to the way a moment can feel both fleeting and unforgettable at the same time, the quiet in-between moments, the energy of a celebration, the places and people that shape our stories.
After graduating from Ivy Tech in 2006 with a degree in photography, I started my own business - naming it after my son, Patton. What began as a creative passion quickly grew into a career that allows me to travel, meet incredible people, and document some of the most meaningful days of their lives.

Born and raised in Southern Indiana, I was fortunate to grow up surrounded by incredibly talented and hardworking parents, which is where I believe my passion, creativity, and drive for photography come from. I graduated from Ivy Tech in 2006 with an Associate's Degree in Photography, and not long after, I decided to start my own business, naming it after my son, Patton. It’s safe to say that my two Pattons—my son and my business—are my greatest joys and motivators! Now, I’m settled in the quiet cornfields of Gibson County with my family.

The Patton Photo team begins with Lynda, founder and lead photographer, who has been documenting weddings since 2006 with a thoughtful, timeless approach. Alongside her is Chris, our trusted videographer, whose cinematic storytelling beautifully captures the movement and emotion of a wedding day. Rounding out the team is Amanda, associate photographer, who has been carefully trained in the Patton Photo style and brings the same attention to detail, calm presence, and artistic eye our couples know and love. Together, we work seamlessly to ensure every wedding is documented with care, consistency, and intention.
