Our Wedding! Upland Brewery Wedding Columbus Indiana

Weddings

So beyond excited to finally share our photos from our wedding day! Ian and I were married Oct 6th at Upland Pump House. After obsessing for a week about the weather and the fate of our Fall outdoor ceremony, it ended up being the most gorgeous day. Ian would say it was too hot (about 80 degrees) but I was happy!

Although we did struggle deciding some of the details of the day, we definitely knew we wanted to do a “first look” before the ceremony. (which I highly recommend) Since Ian is an Air Force Vet and slightly obsessed with airplanes, I surprised him by doing our first look at the Columbus Municipal Airport. Brian at the airport was so accommodating and even had a beautiful Stearman set out and waiting for us when we got there. Needless to say Ian was shocked to open his eyes to that airplane…and me. He did hug me before checking out that Stearman though. After some photos at the airport we headed to Upland for a few more photos and the ceremony. Everything was exactly how we imagined it. I have to give a few shoutouts to some our helpers. My mom, dad and niece made the wooden herringbone backdrop. My uncle Sam, mom and dad grew most the pumpkins. Decorations and assembly was done by everyone including all parents, nieces/nephews, sisters and brother in laws and luckily Pine Events was there to organize and do finishing touches. It truly takes a village!

Our ceremony was officiated by the one and only Patrick Gill. We wrote our own vows which I was super nervous about and slightly dreaded but I’m so glad we did! It ended up being a highlight of the day for me. Patrick preformed an amazing service and it even included a slide show. Needless to say, it was a surprisingly original ice breaker.

A few more photos were taken after the ceremony then the party started. Josie and Ryan at Upland set up an amazing taco bar along with their fantastic craft beer and some carefully selected wines. We actually planned on shutting down the reception at 10 but kept it going until 11! That’s pretty late for us! 🙂

We cannot thank everyone enough for sharing in this special day. We had the best team helping us and we could not have pulled it off without them. Another huge thank you for family and friends for all your love and support. We love you all! #blessed

Also, a huge thank you for our vendors! We love you too! (an additional thanks to Brian at Columbus Airport for coming out on a Saturday to make our first look extra special!)
