An Indianapolis Wedding with a Backyard Reception

Meg and Patrick’s wedding day was the perfect blend of tradition, family, and backyard magic.

Their day began with a beautiful morning ceremony at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in downtown Indianapolis. The ceremony was intimate and meaningful, filled with prayer, heartfelt vows, and the quiet support of loved ones gathered to witness their commitment.

Later that afternoon, the celebration continued with a second ceremony and reception in the most meaningful place of all, Meg’s childhood backyard.

Her parents’ home was transformed into a dreamy reception space. Long dinner tables were set beneath twinkling string lights, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for family and friends to gather.

Guests enjoyed incredible food, a dessert bar, and plenty of time to relax, mingle, and celebrate with the newlyweds. The yard buzzed with conversation, joyful toasts, and the sound of music as the sun slowly set on a perfect evening.

To close out the night, Meg and Patrick made their grand exit through a glowing sparkler send-off. They drove away in a vintage Model T, a detail that felt straight out of a movie and made the perfect ending to their day.

Meg and Patrick’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful celebrations often happen in familiar places, surrounded by the people you love most.
