Hamilton, Ohio Wedding | Wes & Paige

Weddings

It’s always such an honor to photograph a wedding but it’s even more so when it’s for a friend. So when I got to shoot Wes and Paige’s wedding in Hamilton, Ohio, it felt like more than just another beautiful day — it felt like a celebration of friends and of everything that makes love so special: the laughter, the memories, and, of course, the people who surround you.

Hamilton may be just outside of Cincinnati, but it’s a place full of charm and hidden gems and Paige’s hometown. Their wedding day was a perfect mix of heartfelt traditions, youthful energy, and just the right amount of elegance. Let me take you through the day — because trust me, you won’t want to miss these moments.

Wes and Paige’s love story began in college, where they met as student-athletes — Wes as a football player and Paige as a cheerleader. (cue the Taylor Swift lyrics) The ceremony was beautifully simple but deeply meaningful, with scripture readings and prayers that reflected the strength of their bond.

The church itself was stunning, with soft natural light pouring in through the stained-glass windows. There was a sense of serenity in the air, but also an undeniable joy as Wes and Paige exchanged their vows. I love how Wes would look over at Paige and just smile ear to ear. Their ceremony wasn’t just a “I do” moment — it was the beginning of a lifetime of memories.

After the ceremony, the party was ready to kick off, and Hamilton’s charm carried right into their reception. The venue, Hanover Reserve was a perfect blend of modern and rustic. Wes and Paige kept things minimalist but personal, choosing soft colors and subtle details that really let their personalities shine through.

As a wedding photographer, one of my favorite things to capture is the energy of the reception — and let me tell you, this crowd brought it. From the moment Wes and Paige made their grand entrance, you could tell it was going to be a night to remember. They had an amazing DJ who kept the dance floor packed all night long. Guests were out there dancing to everything from classic hits to the latest jams, and you could just feel the love and excitement in the air.

Wes and Paige’s wedding was filled with heartfelt moments, but one of the best had to be the toasts. The best man and maid of honor — lifelong friends who knew Wes and Paige’s story inside and out — delivered speeches that were emotional, funny, and totally real. It was clear how much love and admiration they had for the couple. Everyone laughed, maybe cried a little, and you could see the bond between them all growing stronger as the night went on. Oh, and let’s not forget the signature cocktails! Wes and Paige weren’t just about good vibes; they were also about good drinks.

It wouldn’t be a Wes and Paige wedding without a little playful competition. After a few rounds of drinks and delicious food, guests could hang outside for a few lawn games and a cigar bar. They had cornhole, giant Jenga — and it was hilarious watching everyone get into the spirit of things. The outdoor space really set the tone for a relaxed and laid-back vibe, making sure everyone had a chance to enjoy the fresh air and fun.

Wes and Paige’s wedding day wasn’t just a reflection of their love — it was a celebration of their journey together. From college sweethearts to a couple building a life centered around faith, laughter, and good times with friends and family, their wedding was a beautiful reminder that love can be both simple and extraordinary.

As a photographer, I’m always looking for those little moments that show the true essence of a couple. Whether it was Wes giving Paige a loving look during their ceremony, or the way they held each other close during their first dance, every shot captured their undeniable connection.

Wes and Paige — you two are the perfect mix of modern love, tradition, and total joy. Thank you for letting me be a part of your incredible day. Wishing you a lifetime of love, laughter, and dancing through life together.
