Which is why we got married at our favorite brewery focused on spending the day together, even before the ceremony! Then at the reception, we skipped the bouquet toss and cake cutting and went straight for the eating and dancing. Weddings don’t have to be perfect, they just need to be special and reflect you as a couple.

When I booked this wedding I new the chances of it being cold and rainy were high. It’s so hard to plan for a Spring wedding because of the weather but we never thought we would have to work around the Corona Virus. Due to that, Lisa and Jared were thrown a curveball in the days leading up to the wedding and were forced to cut their guest list in half, changing reservations, food and much more. I can only imagine the heartbreak and stress they all went through. However, I walked in Saturday morning to a room full of joyful bridesmaids and a giddy bride it was pretty clear that everyone was still excited and ready to celebrate the day!

In true Spring weather fashion, the rain settled in late that morning, pushing all photos inside. No worries when you have a beautiful church to work with. The ladies looked radiant in shades of pale blue with all white and green bouquets. Once all the wedding party photos and family photos were taken it was time to walk down the aisle.

By the time the ceremony ended, most of the rain cleared out and we were able to hop outside for some photos. It was a little chilly but luckily Lisa and Jared where up for it and we got some super cute, cuddly portraits. I have never been more proud of a couple for sticking it out and being so physically uncomfortable for the sake of good photos!! After a could stops at local bars then it was time to celebrate at the Ferdinand Community Center! Good food and cold beer were enjoyed by all and I don’t think the dance floor was ever empty!

The Huff wedding kicked off my 2020 wedding season and I couldn’t think of a better way to do so. Although at the time of this wedding I had no idea how drastically different my Spring weddings were going to be. Unfortunately, for so many couples, they are not just cutting guest list but also completely postponing or cancelling their big days. I am beyond blessed to be a part of the Huff wedding and for them to have this day even if it wasn’t exactly what they had planned. Congrats to the new Mr & Mrs Huff!
