A Classic, Modern and Bold Wedding – Evansville Indiana

Weddings

We kicked off June 1st with the Simmons Wedding and what a day! Lyndsi and Luke are so perfect together in every way! You can just tell by the way they look at each other they truly love and support each other.

We arrived at the church to the ladies in full swing! Multiple hair stations. Multiple makeup stations. Varieties of breakfast treats and coffee. Of course the ladies were well into H&M while the guys were brunching at the Hornet’s Nest.

Luke and Lyndsi chose to do a first look so we were able to do ALL the photos before the ceremony. This also made for a quick get away afterwards. The ceremony was at Trinity Lutheran Church in Darmstadt which is the church Lyndsi grew up in. It was filled to the brim with adoring family and friends. The pastor delivered a perfect ceremony, reminding us of the reason we are there and also throwing in some humor. Gina Moore sang a solo while walking up and down the aisle and had the entire place captivated. It. was. gorgeous!

As soon as the ceremony was over, the wedding party piled into a party bus and started the celebrating. They stopped breifly at the Hornet’s Nest for a quick drink then it was off to the fairgrounds to join everyone else. The auditorium at the Vanderburgh 4H Fairgrounds was so beautiful. No detail was left out. We were in awe at the bold colors, bright flowers, greenery and accents of gold! It had a very Opalhouse from Target vibe which I was loving. OBJ Design knocked it out of the park and it was so awesome to see Luke and Lyndsi’s vision come to life!

They also had a live band for the night which definitely kept everyone hyped. (as if this group needed help) It was so fun to see the band interact with everyone and involve them in songs. And of course you can cannot have a German Haubstadt Wedding without a little Schnitzelbank. (the food and song) We ended the night the only way you should…with hotdogs and a firework display. Thank you to “June Boom” that happened to be going on that night at the fairgrounds.

Lyndsi and Luke, we cannot thank you enough for allowing us to capture your special day. We loved every minute and can’t wait to see your love story grow even more!
