Where do I even start with this wedding! It was truly the best way to start 2019. I was so excited to photograph Drake and Whitney’s wedding but also a little nervous. Drake is a super talented photographer so it’s always a little nerve wracking photographing another photographer.

Drake and Whitney were married on January 5th at the Rapp Owen Granary in New Harmony. What probably should have been a very cold winter day was actually a sunny and almost 60 degree day. We were so blessed to be able to take the majority of the photos outside.

The wedding party got ready at a cute Airbnb a block from the venue. While the ladies did hair and makeup upstairs the guys were downstairs watching youtube videos on how to tie their tie. 🙂 Once everyone was ready we headed over to the Granary for Drake and Whitney’s first look. Drake was speechless at the look of his beautiful bride. And you can see why!

They had an intimate ceremony inside with their closest family and friends. Once they said their I do’s and kissed as husband and wife everyone followed them upstairs for the reception. After food, dancing and cake we were able to go back outside for a few more photos. The sun was just setting and between the lighting and this sweet couple I was in heaven! Drake and Whitney had scoped out a couple spots in town and I’m so glad we took the time to go to them.
