Patrick & Layne – Fall Church Wedding Illinois

Weddings

Mr & Mrs White were married on October 20th at their Church in Casey, Illinois. It was the first wedding I photographed after getting married myself and I couldn’t think of a better way to get back in the groove. Side note: Casey is the home to several Guinness World Record constructions, including the worlds largest golf tee, wind chimes, and pitchfork, to name a few.

Layne and Patrick are so genuine and have the sweetest love for each other. They had a simple and classic church ceremony on one of the windiest days of the year. Getting photos outside was a challenge, especially for the girls, but I am so glad we braved the winds. Most of the time we have to fake the “veil blowing in the wind look”, but not on this day!

After the ceremony the party was kicked off at Harlan Hall, an Opera house in Marshall Illinois. It was decorated with fall decor and lots of personal touches. Their first dance was to Coming Home by Leon Bridges which I’m partial to since it’s also what Ian and I danced to. 🙂 Layne and her Dad also surprised everyone by breaking out in a choreographed dance to Can’t Touch This, by MC Hammer! Needless to say it was pretty awesome.

I am so happy to have gotten to know Layne and Patrick during this time. They are truly soulmates that have many years of happiness ahead them and I’m blessed to have been a small part of it.
